Thom brings invaluable experience to our UK team, as a former Marketing Director for companies in the Healthcare, Consumables, Media, Entertainment and Leisure sectors. He has held senior international business management positions involving strategic, operational and commercial roles and is able to understand at a deep level the challenges facing consumer-driven companies

He has led brands for internationally renowned companies, such as Thomson Holidays (Preussag), Universal Studios, Disney, Smirnoff (Diageo), Fosters and Beecham (now Glaxo Smith-Kline). Thom has more recently focused his energy on business consultancy, specializing in the growing field of ROI improvement in Marketing.

Alan Haefele

Senior Business Analyst

Alan has been with Jam Warehouse since January 2002, growing from Junior to Lead developer for BrandDirector, and has played a key role in almost every phase of the product's technical development. Based with Jam Warehouse UK since 2004, Alan leads Business Analysis and Change Management on key UK accounts. With an academic background in human-computer interaction, Alan has been central to the successful implementation of BrandDirector at Tesco Stores PLC and plays a key technical role in New Business Development, Project Management and Account Management in the UK.

Denham Trollip

Business Development Director

MBA, BSc (Computer Science; Psychology) University of Cape Town

Denham is responsible for building key customer and partner relationships and for developing Jam Warehouse's offerings.

Denham has been an ICT and business consultant since 1986 and has extensive experience in overseeing the conceptualization and delivery of ICT solutions. He has played key roles on many ICT projects over the past 20 years and has established and led a number of software development and implementation entities.

Denham's experience with ICT project design and project management contribute to the successful delivery of BrandDirector projects as he is often actively involved in mitigating project risks and coaching project team members. Denham has held various advisory roles related to ICT strategy, and product/service/systems development and has extensive experience with research methodology and statistics. This experience and knowledge are leveraged to ensure our projects realise the benefits they promise.

Richard Weissenberg

Director

MBA, BSc(eng), Dipl Mus, ACGI

Richard is a director of Jam Warehouse, responsible for all commercial aspects of the firm's SA and International retail product businesses. He is a thought leader on business process design, both internally to the firm, and as an adviser to our major retail and FMCG clients.

Richard spent five years at Accenture, where he was a senior manager in the financial services practice, specialising in strategy and business architecture. His engagements included two lead architect roles in major business re-engineering projects for retail banks; and design and evaluation of new financial services ventures. He has counselled at board level on business strategy; process and organisational design; merger negotiations; acquisition targeting and valuation, and customer relationship management.

Prior to joining Accenture, he worked in civil engineering, then marketing communications. For five years, he was Public Relations Director at Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications in London. He has directed UK and pan-European marketing campaigns for blue-chip companies including Castrol, Ericsson and NCR. He has also spent three years as a professional jazz musician.

Richard has a degree in civil engineering from Imperial College, London; a diploma in music from the South African College of Music, and an MBA from the University of Cape Town. His MBA work resulted in his election as an Old Mutual gold medal scholar for outstanding academic performance. He contributes to UCT's MBA programme as a guest lecturer and external examiner.

John Thorne

Managing Director

Executive MBA – UCT Graduate School of Business, MBChB, University of Cape Town

John brings with him considerable experience managing technology companies, having founded one of South Africa's first commercial internet service providers. Previously a medical doctor and jazz saxophonist, John is a creative manager with a deep understanding of organisational dynamics. Under his leadership Jam Warehouse has attracted a number of top talents in the IT field and the company has grown from strength to strength. John focuses on developing people and teams and has established long term partnerships with organisations in both South Africa and Europe.

Warwick Tucker

Change Manager

B.Bus.Sci (Hons) Organisational Psychology & Business Strategy – University of Cape Town

Warwick is an experienced Management Consultant, coming from a background in Strategic Human Resource Management in the banking sector. Warwick has worked in South Africa and the UK, training BrandDirector users around the globe within Retailers, Repro Houses and Design Agencies.

Since 2005, Warwick has been responsible for managing an organisation-wide role out and implementation of BrandDirector across the Tesco multinational group. He is currently based at Tesco's Head Office in the UK, where he continues to build the BrandDirector presence, providing specialized training and gaining staff buy-in to the system.

Rory Bolus

Business Analyst, Training & Change Management

B.Bus.Sci (Hons) Major in Organisational Psychology - University of Cape Town, South Africa

Rory has invaluable experience working at ground level in some of the leading FMCG retailers in the UK and South Africa. As a member of our UK team, Rory was based at the Tesco head office for two years, and was heavily involved in the successful implementation and change management of their Brand Director system. Responsible for training Tesco employees and suppliers all around Europe, Rory devised several training programmes as well as support frameworks.

Rory was also placed at a number of Design Agencies and Printers using BrandDirector. Since returning to South Africa in 2006, he has worked embedded in the Woolworths head offices to assist with the change and implementation process around their BrandDirector. Rory has broad experience in the analysis and development of business processes and provides a crucial link between end users and our developers.
